The import fence is a budget-friendly fence – you get what you pay for. Smaller rails mean your fence boards are less secure; in this instance, the imported fences have been known to bow and warp. Post gauge is often between 0.130” and 0.135”, making a weak post. A weaker post-and-rail is a less sturdy fence. Many of these fences are made with a poor-quality extrusion process, which causes them to fade unevenly within 2-3 years.
